Cherry blossoms viewing at Lun Pi River Park

Located across the road from the Datong Township Office is the Lun Pi River Park, where over 700 cherry blossom trees are planted. They are mostly of the Double-Flowered and Taiwan Cherry sakura species, and they come into bloom around mid-February. Not only is the park filled with cherry blossom trees, it also has a 2-kilometer walking trail and an ecological pond where many shrimp and fish live. It’s a great place to experience the leisure industry, and ecological and cultural activities. During the annual cherry blossom season, in addition to admiring cherry blossoms, there are also singing and dancing performances and Atayal cultural activities to experience. The rich variety of activities are great for family members of all ages to enjoy together.
